Compassion and Passion made a Dream Come True

One man's dream fueled by compassion and passion for Seniors became a reality yesterday.

Yesterday, Jan. 27, 2015, Terraces on 7th Seniors Care Home were honoured to have a delightful concert by solo Harpist Janelle Nadeau perform at our Piano Lounge. Her performance showcased a wide range of musical genres from Celtic, Spanish, classical and popular songs.
Her whole performance was up-close and personal with all the seniors. After the concert she invited the audience to ask questions and for many it was the first time they had heard a harp as a solo instrument. They had many questions and some loved to have their photograph taken with the harp.

Our thanks to Janelle Nadeau and the Health Art Society

Absolutely Free Outdoor Skating

This story has to be my first story as it is about people caring about whole families getting outdoors and playing together. The hero of this story is Norm Price from Calgary, AB.
Read this remarkable story in the Calgary Herald Jan. 22/15

I was so impressed that he had included skating trails in his outdoor rink. How cool is that?!

News Children Can Read - G rated.

Most parents don't let their children watch the 6 oclock news anymore because of it being a diet of really gruesome images causing unknown damage to our children's hearts and minds. People are saying that is because there isn't any good news anymore.
I beg to differ.
Hence the birth of my new blog - The Remarkable Thumbs Up News inspired by the photograph of the mountains in New Zealand called the Remarkables with my Grandson looking at them.

Children are as remarkable as those mountains.
